Admissions
Thank you for your interest in Frostig School. We are pleased to inform you that we accept applications and enroll students year round. It is never too late to join the Frostig community and help your child rediscover their love of learning!
Frostig School welcomes students of all ages, from kindergarten through high school, who have complex learning challenges. Frostig students have diagnosed learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, processing disorders and dyscalculia, while others live with ADHD, high functioning autism spectrum disorder and anxiety. Most Frostig students contend with more than one challenge, such as dyslexia and ADHD, high functioning autism and auditory processing disorder.
If your child has learning differences and has struggled in a traditional school environment, Frostig may be the right fit for your family.
Frostig School is committed to serving students from all parts of our diverse Southern California community. For that reason, we enroll students who pay tuition and students who are funded by their school district.
We recognize that many children with learning differences have emotional disorders. We accept and serve these children as long as their emotional needs do not require an intensity of services beyond the scope of our program.
The admissions process begins with a guided tour that provides an overview of Frostig School, its mission, history, philosophy, facilities and programs.
Frostig holds small group on-campus tours on Tuesday mornings at 9 am for elementary interest and 11 am for middle/high school interest. Director of Community Outreach & Admissions, Fran Wasley, will walk you through a typical school day and share information about our learning program.
To inquire about Frostig Pasadena or to sign up for a tour, please fill out the form below. If you’d like to discuss your child’s educational needs prior to scheduling a tour, please contact Fran Wasley at fran@frostig.org or at 626.791.1255.
Frostig accepts applications year round. To begin the application process, please submit an inquiry first. After submitting an inquiry, an account will be created and you will be able to log in to complete the application through our online portal.
When submitting your application, please remember to upload your child’s recent IEP, progress reports, current transcript, psychoeducational and/or neuropsych evaluation, academic assessments and any other reports (Speech, PT, OT) that would be helpful for us to review.
For privately-funded students, tuition for the 2025-26 academic year at the Pasadena campus is $48,620. There are additional costs for transportation, counseling, assistive technology as well as educational, occupational, and speech and language therapies if these services are appropriate for your child.
In some cases, the IRS considers the cost of tuition at a specialized school like Frostig to be a treatment for a medical condition and allows these costs to be a tax-deductible medical expense. We suggest you consult with a tax adviser.
Students who are funded by their school district do not pay tuition. Frostig collects payments directly from the districts.
Financial Aid
We recognize many families are not in a financial position to take advantage of our school’s services. We have established a financial-aid fund to assist those families. The fund is designed to assist with tuition support for a child with a documented financial need. Funding availability is dependent on grants we receive throughout the year.
You can apply for financial aid once your child is accepted to Frostig School. Financial aide requires re-application annually.
Financial aid applications are available online by clicking on the icon for FAST below. Applications are first reviewed by FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition, a service of Independent School Management) in Wilmington, DE, and then the school.
Financial support is based upon need and availability of financial aid funds.
