Onsite Clinical Services

The Clinical Services Department plays a key role in the successful implementation of Frostig School’s whole child approach to special education.

Clinical services are offered individually or in a small group setting of no more than 3 students. They may be provided in the classroom or on a pull-out basis. Depending on their Individualized Education Plan, children may be seen 1-3 hours a week.

Our services include:

  • Counseling
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Educational therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Assistive technology

Frostig School is exceptional in having clinicians based on campus. Working on site allows our clinicians to work closely with teachers to advance each student’s education and wellness. Frostig therapists perform a significant amount of collaborative instruction in the classroom. In that situation, the therapist observes and works with the student and observes interactions with the teacher.

In addition, Frostig School therapists educate families on techniques they can use at home to support the child.

For all clinical services, funding is provided either privately by parents or through the IEP process.
